The Imaging Research Lab contains a biplane angiograph unit for conducting studies that require X-Ray fluoroscopy and/or real-time imaging with high temporal resolution. The unit acquires high quality biplane digital images at a maximum acquisition rate of 30 frames/sec for each plane.

The Imaging Research Lab contains a 320 detector row whole body CT scanner for studies that require real-time cross-sectional imaging with high temporal resolution. This system is capable of whole organ imaging in a single rotation. The CT is also equipped with various packages such as Single-Energy Metal Artifact Reduction and a dedicated image analysis workstation suited for anatomical and physiological measurements.

The PET Research Lab contains whole body PET scanner for conducting studies that require cross-sectional imaging of chemical and metabolic processes of the heart and other organs. A PET/CT scanner is available for metabolic studies of small animals.

The Imaging Research Lab contains an ultrasound unit capable of 4D imaging. This system is capable of acquiring volumetric data utilizing at high frame rates. A new piezeo-electric single crystal design allows for the volumetric data to be acquired as well as being able to capture multiple image windows during a single acquisition. This system has all necessary for components for transthoracic, transesophageal echocardiography as well linear transducers for vascular access.

The Imaging Research Lab contains a small animal dual modality SPECT/µCT scanner. The system provides software that is capable of fusing of the SPECT and CT data.
