Baja SAE Results

This past weekend, team Raider headed out to compete in the 2016 Baja SAE Competition in Gorman, CA. The events started off on Friday with tech inspection which Raider successfully passed. Next was the Static events where our Baja team showed significant improvement from last year. The real fun started with the Dynamic events where the team was able to push Raider to its limits and see how it stacked up in a field of 100 Baja vehicles. After the results came in, Raider impressively placed 12th in maneuverability and 14th in suspension and traction. The best event was saved for last with the endurance race. Our team started off strong but after some hard driving, a few suspension components called it quits which brought Raider back to the pits. Fortunately the support team was well prepared and performed some quick repairs in order to get Raider back in the race. The car was able to finish the race with no other issue and placed 31st. We are still waiting for the overall results and will post them as soon as they are available. Whatever the final results say, we are proud of our Baja team’s performance in the 2016 Baja SAE competition. More importantly however, we are proud of the hard work they have put in over the last several months to get to where they are now and the significant improvement they have shown since last year. Raider Gets Some Trail Time

With Raider’s competition in Gorman, CA less than a week away, here is another testing video for us to get hyped for the big weekend. The team has been packing up and preparing for any surprises that may come up at the competition. That means loading up on tools, spare parts, and most importantly, team members who know the car inside and out. Wish them luck as they convoy over to Gorman to make their hard work pay off.

Savage is Up and Running!

Anteater Racing has reached one on its most anticipated milestones as Savage has finally come to life. This Sunday, after several months of hard work designing and manufacturing, the Savage team was able to get the car fired up and moving under it’s own power. The last few weeks have been especially demanding as team members have been trying to find time to machine critical components for the car. Now that the bulk of the manufacturing tasks have been completed, the team can shift its focus to testing. Compared to last years car which was completed right before competition, the current car will have more than a month of testing time. This will allow the team to identify the car’s weaknesses and make necessary improvements to be better prepared when competition day arrives. Check out the first drive video above and look forward to more videos in the coming weeks after we get Savage on the track!
