Patrick Kelley, Front Suspension Lead Engineer

Joined: Fall 2019   Major: Mechanical Engineering

Likes about sub-team: “I am fascinated by the role of off-road suspension and its significant impact on the vehicle’s performance and comfort.”

What AFR means to me: “The project and team involved are a terrific opportunity for me to exercise relevant skills in a fast-paced and fun environment, while making great memories and preparing for a successful career.”

Field he wants to work in: “I aim to work on vehicle dynamics/behavior, with specific focus on autonomous and electric vehicles and other forms of next-generation transportation.”

Fun fact: “Outside of the lab, I enjoy writing and recording music and getting outdoors for a hike, unicycle ride, or camping trip!”

Favorite sub-team: “Rear Suspension requires multiple complex components to work in unison.”

What AFR means to me: “Anteater Baja Racing is a group of talented and genuine engineering students that remind me of home. “

Field he wants to work in: “Working on sustainable energy source projects, such as electric propulsion systems and electric vehicles.”

Fun fact: “I do not enjoy wasting potential, I am always learning new skills and picking up small hobbies that range from learning the basics of a language to professional video editing software. “
