Now is a great time to plant squash for a spring harvest and watermelon planted now should be ready to harvest by summer!!! Nothing tastes better in the summer than fresh grown watermelon!

Welcome

The Verano Community Garden and Orchard exists to provide an opportunity for Verano Place residents to garden in a communal setting. We are an ORGANIC GARDEN with an emphasis on increasing sustainability. We promote growing food locally, recycling garden green waste and community kitchen waste and educating the community on these important practices. Join us to work the earth alongside fellow residents you might not otherwise meet, and to share gardening knowledge. Eligibility is limited to Verano Place residents, with only one plot per housing contract.
