Northwood Memorial to Show Gratitude and Honor by Kendal Curtis

In this 4 minute and 30 second audio description of Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial, I will explain my visit and research on the unique memorial in honor of the veterans who were killed in action during either the Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom tours. This audio consists of a description of the memorial’s location, what the focus of the memorial is, as well as the history behind the memorial’s creation and eventual establishment. I will use this audio description to reflect on the impact of this memorial on the community, and how a community can create permanent places to show gratitude for those who help make their communities possible.
