Chapter Priorities
CSTA4OC’s strategic priorities are to provide concrete and meaningful benefits to chapter members in chapter activities, work to incorporate best practices in chapter and member activities, as well as to promote diversity and equity in computer science in Orange County.
These priorities include:
- Building a strong community of computer science educators who share collective knowledge
- Providing computer science educators with high-quality professional learning and development opportunities
- Supporting projects that communicate the excitement of computer science to students and improve their understanding of resulting opportunities
- Promoting comprehensive computer science curricula at all levels
- Advocating for policies that support preK-12 computer science education
- Collecting and disseminating research about computer science education
- Raising awareness that computer science educators are highly qualified professionals with skills that enrich the educational experience of their students
