About Us

The goal of Anteater Baja Racing is to research, design, build, and test a competitive, reliable off-road vehicle to compete at the Baja SAE West Competition. The yearly competition, hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), challenges 100 collegiate teams from all over the world to compete in a series of static and dynamic events. These events consider a range of aspects such as costs, design, efficiency, acceleration, endurance, and marketing.

The hands-on training, communication and management skills, and full-cycle design process involved in Baja SAE prepares engineering students for success in numerous industries including automotive, aerospace, electrical, software and more. The SAE intercollegiate design series is recognized by industry experts as an extremely valuable experience that sets students apart early in their career for their demonstrated hard work and commitment.
