Executive Steering Committee
The Executive Steering Committee (ESC) plays a pivotal role in shaping CEHDR’s strategic direction, focusing on environmental health disparities and equity. Composed of national and regional experts and stakeholders, the ESC identifies resources and partnerships to support CEHDR’s goals, forming subcommittees to plan key initiatives. Collaborating closely with CEHDR leadership, the committee proposes a visionary roadmap to enhance the quality and impact of CEHDR’s research and educational activities, striving towards a more equitable and healthier future for all.
Community Equity Board
The Community Equity Board (CEB) is comprised of local leaders and advocates from diverse communities and professions throughout Southern California. Members include representatives of community-based organizations, academic institutions, health systems and community residents. The Community Equity Board ensures that community voices are informing CEHDR’s research, programs and activities. The purpose of the CEB is to help guide research and community education.
Student Advisory Board
The Student Advisory Board (SAB) aims to enhance the educational experience of students at UCI while serving as an advocacy group. The SAB supports decision-making for CEHDR and acts as a liaison between the student body, the community, and the center.
The SAB provides a forum for communication and exchange of ideas, information, and concerns among students. One key responsibility of the SAB is to ensure students participate in CEHDR governance, and that students have a voice in the development of the center’s research, training, policies, and programming that impact student involvement and success.
