Cie Digital Labs (CDL; http://www.ciedigital.com/), an Irvine-based company, is looking for teams of UCI students to work on surveys and user interviews to carry out the User Experience (UX) research stage of a “Student Success” app. The ultimate goal of the app is to provide students with real-time updates and information that will increase their success. Entrepreneurial students chosen for this opportunity will be organized into teams chosen so that the members have expertise in a variety of areas: business, psychology, marketing, and technology. Working under the guidance of CDL product and UX professionals, these teams will create and conduct surveys and user interviews focused on users of the proposed app (students) and groups familiar with student success (counselors, academic support units, and faculty). The goal is to build a team of 2-4 students to focus on each of these groups.
Your commitment would be for roughly 10 hours per week during the Spring quarter, possibly extending into the summer, with a fairly flexible schedule, driven by the team members. Compensation is expected to be about $15/hour or, possibly, 2-4 units of 199 credit.
If you are interested in being considered for this exciting opportunity, you should fill out the interest survey at https://scout.eee.uci.edu/s/CDL_Interest_Survey by Wednesday night, March 14th.
