Buzzing with curiosity on how to protect our environment? Then come on down to our webinar, “Bee-ing Green in Quarantine!”
Hosted by a team of UCI faculty and students working to combat environmental issues, this webinar will educate students on how to live a more sustainable, eco-friendly lifestyle. As you might’ve guessed, the topics will center around pollination. We’ll cover why pollination is important, and what you can do to support declining bee populations from your own home — including how to build a bee nest in your backyard. And we’ll introduce our initiative to get UCI certified as a pollinator-friendly campus, with information on how to get involved. Additionally, all attendees will be entered in a raffle for free gardening materials.
Dr. Kathleen Treseder will be presenting, alongside two students: ASUCI’s Sustainability Project and Garden Commissioner, Alex Lou, and CALPIRG’s Save the Bees Campaign Coordinator, Alyssa Romea.
The webinar will be on Thursday, December 3, at 5PM, and you can RSVP here. Contact romeaa@uci.edu if you have any questions. We hope to see you there! Otherwise… that’s gonna sting.
