Become a Sun Campus Ambassador and become proficient with extensive training on Sun’s open technologies, such as OpenSolarisTM, JavaTM, NetbeansTM, and Sun StudioTM.

Essential Functions Sun is looking for graduate or senior-level students who possess a strong background in software development and programming to work on a part-time basis on their campus to: |

| • | Lead the Sun open source developer community |
| • | Run SUN technology demo sessions |
| • | Promote Sun training events |
| • | Champion Sun’s platforms and development tools to professors and researchers |
| • | Build developer mindshare at the grass-roots university level |
Required Knowledge
Candidates should have a strong background in software development and programming, possess excellent communication skills, and be comfortable serving as a public speaker. In addition, a Sun Campus Ambassador must be self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently, with little or no supervision.
Preferred Knowledge and Experience
The ideal candidate should have familiarity (two-years experience) with NetBeans™ and Sun Studio development tools and the Solaris™ Operating System.
Minimum Level of Education
Candidates should be upper-division undergraduate students or graduate students in Computer Science or Information Systems.
| Compensation The starting U.S. pay is: |

| • | Undergraduate Sophomore to Junior: $16.00 to $23.00 per hour |
| • | Senior: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour |
| • | Masters: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour |
| • | PhD: $31.00 per hour |
| Hours are limited to five hours per week. | |
