You are all cordially invited to attend our 4th annual Research Fest scheduled for Thursday, April 26th from 12:00pm-2:00pm in the MPR (SB 232). The purpose of this event is to provide our Merage doctoral students the opportunity to showcase their work and share their current research with members of the UCI community in an informal, collegial walk-around style poster session. It’s an excellent way to get a glimpse of what our Ph.D. program is all about and see what wonderful work our students have accomplished to date!No RSVP is required. You are welcome to show up anytime between the 12:00-2:00pm timeframe, however we will make brief welcoming remarks starting at 12:30 should you wish to pick a “show up” timeslot.Coffee, tea, soft drinks and appetizer-snacks will be served during that timeframe.
Day of Service Donation Drive
Leap of Faith at UCI is making a final call for the Day of Service Donation Drive, which will be ending Friday, April 27th, at noon. They are asking the UCI campus community to donate canned/non-perishable food items as well as toys, school supplies, or hygiene supplies (i.e. hotel soaps, socks, toothbrushes, etc.) for homeless families of Orange County.
All items collected in the donation drive will be packed by UCI students and go directly to the hungry and homeless of Orange County on the UCI Day of Service, this Saturday, April 28th, from 8 am to 1 pm. The Leap of Faith UCI Day of Service is an interfaith student initiative working with various Orange County service organizations to provide food to those in need, following an initial welcome at the Center for living Peace by Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan.

EAP Study Abroad Deadlines
The UC Education Abroad Program (EAP) deadline for programs beginning in winter quarter 2013 is May 24th. Freshmen are particularly encouraged to begin planning now to fit sutdying abroad into academic and extra-curricular plans. You can study abroad, be involved on campus, and graduate on time. Or maybe you’re the kind of student that just loves the way your breath chills and condenses in the air as you let loose battle cries at the opposition.Come to Broomball and form ranks with your fellow CHPers to play the most entertaining and hilarious sport on ice. Meet at the flagpoles Monday, April 23rd at 8:45 pm to catch a ride to KHS in Anaheim. The price is $10 for an hour of fun and we will be returning around 11 pm. Wear sneakers and general athletic wear. It may be chilly to start out, but you’ll warm up quick once the game begins. Bring your friends! Volunteer drivers much appreciated!
