FAQ’s
The goal of this study is to improve the Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) survey instrument. We will use students’ feedback to update the survey instrument that will be used for survey administration in 2022 at SERU member universities.
How long will the research last?
We expect that you will be in this research study for approximately 60-90 minutes.
What will I need to do to participate?
You will be asked to participate in an interview with the project’s researcher via Zoom. You will be offered to open an online survey about undergraduate student experience, share your screen with the researcher and go through the survey as you would normally do when completing it. You will be asked to comment on the survey questions. We are interested in whether you understand what they mean and whether these questions are applicable to your experience. You will not be required to answer any of these survey questions (feel free to leave all the fields blank or provide a random response).
What happens to the information collected for the research?
The interview will be recorded but your name will not be revealed and will not be associated with any comments during the analysis and presentation of results. Efforts will be made to limit the use and disclosure of your personal information to people who have a need to review this information. Thus, we cannot promise complete confidentiality.
