I received a B.S. in Earth Science from Rice University in 2017. In my current research, I use radiocarbon to quantify fuel consumption in California’s wildfires. I hope to help improve estimates of wildfire emissions and provide a means for assessing the effectiveness of prescribed fire.
Outside of my research, I’m interested in using mass communication and community outreach to educate and empower the public around topics related to wildfires and climate change.
