Michael Goulden, Ph.D.

Professor Goulden received a B.A. in Biology from Reed College and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University. He did postdoctoral work at Harvard University in Earth and Planetary Sciences before joining UCI in September 1997.

His research focuses on the biological and physical controls of terrestrial nutrients, carbon, and energy cycling, with an emphasis on the response of natural ecosystems to environmental change.
