Policy Support

Climate Tools, Innovation & Recommendations, Solutions Laboratory

Introduction of climate solutions to support policies. CLEWS tools are to be used by local, state, and/or federal agencies to implement more precise climate policies.

CLEWS network will refer their tools and research to state representatives in order to provide some guidance in the design and implementation of efficient policies for the state’s future.

Governments can take a lot more action to cut emissions and combat climate change. In tandem with the research and deployment of climate change solutions at CLEWS, we can push the implementation of these solutions and the broader science found within CLEWS into the legislative and governmental institutions.

  • Develop climate tools such as CECS to be used by land managers at the Office of Planning
  • Provide innovation and recommendations for energy systems,
  • Create resilient and sustainable agricultural systems
  • Advocate for incentives for sea-weed carbon capture
  • Organized meet ups with state representatives at local and state levels with CLEWS faculty members. Tools demonstrations.

The University of California has a very close relationship with California’s public institutions and some national authorities. We should capitalize on this relationship of trust to become a solutions laboratory for the state of California.
