The Climate Futures Collective (CFC) is a graduate-led research group at UCI—located on the unceded ancestral homelands of the Tongva and Acjachemen peoples—focusing on art, decolonization, abolition, ecosocialism, and climate change.

Founded in 2019 by Marianna Davison, Aaron Katzeman, and Scott Volz, CFC aimed to address a lack of environmental humanities organizations on campus. Since then, CFC has played a role in the development of the UCI Environmental Humanities Research Center.

The name CFC alludes to the history that UCI scientists played in the initial detection and eventual regulation of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), the main chemical agent in the global depletion of the ozone layer.

In addition to hosting regularly organized meetings and other events, CFC branches out beyond campus to attend nearby exhibitions, talks, and panels with similar subject matter.
