Compass for Advisors & Student Support Staff
Compass for Advisors & Student Support Staff aims to provide timely student data directly to staff who can use that information to support student success efforts within their schools and programs.
Three types of tools are available:
Reports: Highly configurable reports enable advisors to retrieve bulk student data through various lenses, including demographics, academics, and requirements completion;
Dashboards & Visualizations: Summative tools to help visualize and contextualize information, including course enrollment and performance; and more.
Apps: Comprehensive analytics tools or web applications to provide rich data experiences and provide and access data.
Reports and tools created by Compass Affiliates, including OIR, are also included.
Accessing advisor reports & dashboards
To access these reports, users must:
- Work in a school-wide academic advising or counseling role for undergraduate students that has Compass access;
- Have access to the Registrar’s WebAdmin tool, and the Transcripts feature within;
- Be approved by the Registrar for access to Compass reports; and
- Complete online FERPA training
