About COMPASS for Research
The data used to power COMPASS Reports is drawn from a variety of sources around UCI, including data managed by the Office of Institutional Research, Enrollment Management, and the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching & Learning.
The COMPASS data set is available for teaching & learning research purposes in two ways:
- For teaching & learning research not intended for publication: reports in Cognos available to both instructors and academic administrators
- For research intended for publication: direct data access is available via COMPASS data scientists
