This quarter the Student-Run Free Clinic Project at UCI was lucky enough to have two of our UCI Medical School volunteers discuss the importance of cultural humility. Learning how to respect other people’s cultural attitudes about medicine is important as we move onto becoming future physicians as there are many grey areas in treatment and medical intervention. Thank you Mariana Gomez and Alex Yu for taking time to talk and enhance our knowledge of medical ethics and culture.
We Achieved Non-Profit Status!
On September 21, we achieved a non-profit status for The Free Clinic Project after two years of hard work and commitment. This enables us to accept more donations to fund our organization and continue serving our communities. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in making this happen, and a big congratulations for our huge milestone!
