Welcome 2017 Free Clinic Project Medical Student Board

We are excited to welcome our 2017 Student-Run Free Clinic Project at UCI Medical Student Board.

Our Medical Student Board coordinates medical student and physician volunteers, advocates for patients rights, and provides mentorship to undergraduate and medical students. We look forward to the invaluable leadership they will provide in serving our Orange County community.

Medical Student Discussion on Cultural Humility in Medicine

This quarter the Student-Run Free Clinic Project at UCI was lucky enough to have two of our UCI Medical School volunteers discuss the importance of cultural humility. Learning how to respect other people’s cultural attitudes about medicine is important as we move onto becoming future physicians as there are many grey areas in treatment and medical intervention. Thank you Mariana Gomez and Alex Yu for taking time to talk and enhance our knowledge of medical ethics and culture.
