I am a biochemist fascinated by brain and its complexities. Currently, I’m a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Blurton-Jones’s group at University of California Irvine. My research combines cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, neuroimmunology and human stem cell technologies to elucidate cell-specific events contributing to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and prions. I specifically focus on protein misfolding events, their impact on neuroimmune responses as well as disease progression.
