Housing in an important aspect of college, especially grad school. It plays a part in shaping up a student’s academic as well as personal growth. Students when relocating, dream of a perfect den where they would spend the exciting school seasons to come. The quest therefore is for a home away from home! What is perfect housing? Well it is a matter of perception. There are two basic modes of housing, On-campus and Off-campus, both with their own set of pros and cons. At UC Irvine it is arguably one of the most debated topics related to school life. But that debate is for another day. Today let’s talk about the off campus housing at UCI.
Irvine provides you with a plethora of neighborhoods apt for students. You enjoy a selection from a very diverse sample set. More power to you! Here are some of the cool abodes that can be yours for the taking.
The UTC (University town center) is nearest to campus. It comprises of housing courts named after Ivy League schools of America like Harvard and Stanford. Being the closest to campus, it obviously is the most expensive. Stores like Albertson’s and restaurants are very close as well. Parkwest Apartments is the most sought after by students mainly because it offers reasonable prices and different options like 2bed/bath, 3bed/2bath etc. It has good access to campus with both university bus service and the orange county bus service. Apartments are nice and clean. Amenities like swimming pools, gym, and parking are available too. Toscana Apartments is another place quite affordable and close to campus. It has some good restaurants and a shopping complex in the vicinity. Prices are a tad higher than Parkwest.
All these places having a high number of student residents. These are really safe places to live as is the rest of Irvine. These places are managed very well, have a really good maintenance and resident friendly environment creating a very high standard of living. https://offcampus.housing.uci.edu/ provides more info.

It allows you to interact with different facets of society as compared to on-campus where you are more likely to interact with students and faculty. Your longing for a cultural exchange is bolstered and you are exposed to varied spectrum of the society. The core question still remains, can your new house be called your Home? Irvine makes sure it can.
