Whether you are an incoming student from India or someone who enjoys Indian food, this blog gives you an insight into the beautiful city of Artesia. Located about 25 miles north of Irvine, Artesia is known for its Indian restaurant outlets. I remember going there the very first weekend of coming to Irvine and it was comforting to know that I can enjoy delicious recipes from various parts of India within a one-hour drive from Irvine!
Some of the popular restaurants are Rajdhani, Udupi Palace, Chennai Tiffins, Tirupathi Bhimas, Mumbai Ki Galliyon Se, Paradise Biryani Pointe. My personal favorite is an all you can eat thali at Rajdhani for under $20.
Although restaurants are the main reason for my visits to Artesia, they are the not the only reason. There are a couple of popular Indian grocery stores which have most Indian herbs and spices, rice and dals, pickles and chutneys, popular Indian snacks and what not! Have a craving for delicious Indian food? Drive to Artesia, enjoy your meal and refill your groceries and snacking options.
Apart from groceries and restaurants, there are a number of shopping outlets as well. Indian clothing, especially party wear like saree, bangles and other accessories for the girls, sweet and chaats outlets.
