For 2021, the Graduate InterConnect Program is looking to have another large cohort of 60+ experienced graduate students to support the transition for our newest international graduate students for fall 2021.
Peer mentors will have the opportunity to develop and practice mentoring skill sets and professional competencies that will serve them for future opportunities at UCI and beyond. In the role, they will mentor across disciplines to help foster a more inclusive and interdisciplinary community. We are seeking graduate students who have a strong interest and passion for helping other students succeed.
GIC Peer Mentors are current graduate students from all disciplines and backgrounds. They are assigned to mentor a group of incoming international graduate students during summer and work on 1-1 during fall quarter. All meetings and events will be virtual at this time.
