About the event:
iFireNet is holding a 3-day summer program that will facilitate discussion about various aspects of fire behavior. It will feature oral presentations from expert guest speakers, hands-on tutorial sessions, as well as activities that will allow you to get acquainted with your fellow wildland fire researchers. Students, postdoctoral scholars, and Early Career Researchers (ECRs) will have the opportunity to present their contributions to wildfire science.

Please note masks will be mandatory indoors at UCI starting Monday, July 18. In-person attendees are requested to carry a mask or a face covering that they can wear during the summer school when indoors.

Online participants can join using the following zoom link. Please RSVP if you are attending online if you have not done so already.

If you are presenting, we request that you upload the PowerPoint presentation the night prior to your allotted presentation date. Additionally, please follow these guidelines to prepare for the tutorial session on Wednesday the 20th.

Please be advised that if you are traveling from the UK and are receiving travel reimbursement from iFireNet, please reserve your flight with an airline that is either a US carrier or a carrier based in a country that is part of the Open Skies Agreement (Open Skies Agreement with the US for federally-funded international travel). Since the UK is no longer part of the Open Skies Agreement, please do not use a UK-based airline (e.g. British Airways, Virgin Atlantic). Additionally, please avoid using traveler personal points (airline credits, gift cards, etc.) as those can’t be reimbursed.
