  1. Manuel I think the color choices for the contrasting blue and orange as background are interesting. Orange is an energetic color and accurately represents the hustle and bustle of activity happening at a train station, it’s filled with busy people who need to get somewhere who have to be in a specific spot at a specific time to catch the train, this contrasts with the calm blue color of the static elements in the environment. What I think would be powerful is to represent the train tracks as part of the background. The tracks and the train represent a powerful force, its a thing people depend on to get to their place of work to earn a living, it’s also something you don’t mess with, the consequences of being in the wrong place at the wrong time near a train can be deadly. I’ve stood on a train platform as a train passes and the feeling you get when you stand there as tons of steel race past you is humbling. It forces me to respect and fear the train at the same time.

    1. Thanks Gary. That is an incredible critique. I will be implementing your suggestions into the next design.

  2. I like the abstracted graphic quality of your base map, Manuel. I wonder how the colors of your iconography and lines may change in the next phase of the project as we have to merge and represent the different forces together. Also, thanks for the suggestion to make my images clickable. I had totally missed that when I published mine.

    1. Your welcome on the suggestion of making the image clickable.

Thank you for the compliment on the color of the base map. I appreciate it. I too am curious to see what direction the map will turn. I have a few dramatic ideas I want to try so we shall see.

      Thanks again.

      Manuel
