The part was received and installed on July 8. The machine was tested. It has been working well since then.
A PO for the part was placed today. The part will be shipped out to us on Monday. I hope that this sputter coater may be fixed next week.
The sputter coater was made in UK. A company which used to represent the vendor and provide service has no longer a service department. We were trying to find a part from local shops and on-line shops, but failed because the part is a specially designed one. We finally got response from UK and found a new sale representive. Mingje is going to order the part today. It could take a few days to process PO. I update the latest status in comments later.
