  1. FEI engineer received the parts (motors) and installed/adjusted them today. I tested the stage for two times and did not find any problem. You may use the SEM as normal. If there is any problem, please let me know immediately. Thanks and good luck!

  2. Steve (FEI district service manager) just called me, saying that the stage motors would arrive on UCI by next Monday. FEI engineers will be doing service immediately with technical support of experienced stage expert after the parts arrive. Keep finger crossed.

  3. FEI engineers believe that one piezo-stage motor is out of order. They placed an order, but it is on back-order. Users may use the SEM under this condition for some urgent work. Stage-related error may show up. In this case, users may use home stage to correct the error and move their experiment forward. FEI engineer will be back to solve the problem when the stage motors are received. Please check this blog for further updates.
