Magellan problem was reported today. Some beam currents below 0.8nm does not work well. FEI engineer was informed. He will be on campus on Thursday. I will try something and see if the problem can be solved.

The Quickloader problem was fixed yesterday. It works well
FEI engineer replaced a few parts on last Friday. I did alignment and obtained good images. I tried to solve the problem with quickloader in the weekend, but it still does not work now. There are still a couple of other small problems. FEI engineer have scheduled his time for further maintenance. At this moment, you may use the SEM by loading your sample from front door. If you need any help, please let me know.
FEI engineer came this morning. He changed one electronic board and the beam became stable. He also found particles and fibers on the objective lens pole-piece. Please use the dry N2 gas to blow any dusts and fiber from your sample before loading. A new problem occurred in comminucation. We are waiting for a new communication board . It may arrive tomorrow. I will replace the board. Please keep an eye on new update tomorrow.
