I’m interested in how youth engage with online social spaces, how these spaces are governed, and how administrators of these spaces keep them safe and accessible.

Video games have played a significant role in my own personal life and development, and I’m interested in exploring this even further.  My interests have shifted into examining online social space and the ways in which homeschooled youth are engaging with them.

I have a background in organizational communication studies, along with a communication perspective in popular media.  In many ways I see elements such as functional design, storytelling, and social interactions as being interconnected in understanding how platform users perceive their overall experience.
