- I was a board member and active presenter for this non-profit that promotes climate literacy. CLEAN (Climate, Literacy, Empowerment, and iNquiry) was founded in 2008 by graduate students in Earth System Science at UCI. Their goal is to equip future generations with the knowledge to understand and deal with a changing climate. As a member of CLEAN, I frequently visited local middle schools, high schools, and businesses and gave hands-on, active learning presentations about climate change. The majority of the students I interacted with were from historically underserved populations.
