Energy Saving of an Industrial Cooler using Air Curtains
Test and optimize air curtains effectiveness across an open door to reduce infiltration and energy loss in a cooler
Team Members:

Project Deliverables:
● Test Methodology and Analysis Report: This report should detail the testing
plan employed to evaluate the effectiveness of air curtains in reducing energy
consumption of the industrial cooler. It should outline the testing setup, data
collection methods, and the chosen metrics for analysis – temperature difference
and air infiltration rate.
● Test Results: This report presents the findings from the testing phase. It should
include organized data tables, graphs, and charts that clearly illustrate the impact
of air curtains on cooler performance.
● Cooler Prototype: Depending on the project scope, a physical prototype of the
cooler integrated with air curtains might be built. This prototype could be used
for demonstration purposes or further testing in a controlled environment.
● Cost-Benefit Analysis: A report that evaluates the financial feasibility of
implementing air curtains. This analysis should consider the initial installation
cost, potential energy savings over time, and the payback period for the
investment.
