MIVI Neuroscience

Implementation of Real-Time Pulsatile Aspiration Control for Ischemic Stroke Treatment

Design and test an algorithm that implements a faster pulsatile clot aspiration method for thrombectomy procedures using real-time flow rate and pressure data.

Project Deliverables:
Conduct constant and pulsatile trials on synthetic blood clots for the MIVI Q Aspiration Catheters, Perform Dynamic Mechanical Characterization of Synthetic Bloods Clots, Design and test an algorithm to implement real-time control over pulsatile aspiration methods.
