Thermal Seatbox for Thermal Evaluation of Aircraft Seats
Design a thermal seatbox that duplicates the heat dissipation of a power supply module for the purpose of aircraft seat evaluation
Team Members:
Hans Zhang (Team Lead), Kimson Liu, Szymon Claridad, and James Mercado
Project Deliverables:
A thermal seatbox with the following features:
- Heat dissipation according to a specified power supply module
- Capability to collect the following data: a) internal ambient temperature; b) external ambient temperatures; c) surface temperatures
- LED that indicates the seatbox’s good or poor performance on the following: a) internal ambient temperature; b) ventilation
- A fan that is controlled by the seatbox’s internal ambient temperature
- Capability to record the data collection and export these onto a spreadsheet
- An instruction manual that details the setup and operation of the thermal seatbox
