Amy Nguyen
 4th year Neurobiology

I joined MSO because I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and join an organization that will challenge me to become a better writer.

I enjoy learning about neurodegenerative and psychological diseases as well as how to treat them. I hope to become a psychiatrist in the near future.

A fun fact about me is that I’ve traveled to eight countries. I love traveling and immersing myself in new cultures.

MSO Alumni: Where are they Now?

Founder of MSO at UCI: LAC TA

Q: What inspired you to establish this branch of MSO?
A: My own personal experiences with limited healthcare resources and the low levels of health literacy within my community inspired me to start MSO as a way to educate readers about the relevant scientific research at UCI.

Q: What are you up to now/what are your future goals?
A: I am currently doing a Master’s in Public Health and applying to medical school right now. In the future, I hope to combine the skills of my MPH with practicing medicine.
