Current Members

Ray was born and grew up in Taoyuan, Taiwan. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from the National Taiwan University in 2011 and 2013, respectively. After graduation, he served in the Army of ROC (Taiwan) as a platoon commander for a year of mandatory military service. He then worked as a research and administrative assistant for another two years, and joined the Sheldon Group in October of 2016. In his free time, he enjoys playing badminton, listening to post-rock, and watching the Spurs.

Freddy received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey in July of 2017. During his undergraduate studies, he participated in two separate internships at Texas A&M University and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a former NSF-Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation and National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network fellow. In his spare time, Freddy enjoys amateur astronomy, visiting art museums, mountain biking, camping, and, more recently, grilling and BBQing.

Rivi received his B.S. in Computational Chemistry from the University of Colombo in 2016. After graduating, he worked as a TA at the same institute before he joined the Sheldon Group in October of 2017. In his free time, Rivi enjoys watching baseball and listening to classical music.

Noel graduated from Texas State Univeristy in 2018 with a B.S. in Chemistry. He is a recipient of the ACS-Project SEED fellowship, the Texas State SURE HSI STEM Impact Program fellowship, and the Texas A&M University Graduate Diversity fellowship in Chemistry. During his free time, Noel enjoys going to concerts, watching Netflix, camping, and exploring new restaurants.

Zach received his B.S. in physics from the University of Central Arkansas in 2017. Before starting graduate work, he interned at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C. He attended graduate school at University of Arkansas in Microelectronics+Photonics for one year prior to transferring to Texas A&M University with a College of Engineering Fellowship, and he joined the Sheldon Group in 2018. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, floating, watching sports, and playing video games.

Kylie grew up in New Hampshire. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in the spring 2019. She joined the Sheldon group in the Fall of 2019. She enjoys in her free time she enjoys reading fantasy, crafting, and cooking.

Annika grew up in Virginia and got her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. She joined the Sheldon Group in 2019. Annika enjoys martial arts, eating, animals and warm weather.

Boqin was born and grew up in Beijing, China. He received his B.S. in chemistry from Peking University in 2019. He joined the Sheldon group in October of 2019. In his spare time, he practices solving the Rubik’s cube and plays the piano.

June is from Seoul, South Korea. She received her B.S. in chemistry from Ewha Womans University in 2019. She joined the Sheldon group in the fall of 2020. She really likes living and studying in ‘calm’ College Station, more than Seoul. In her spare time, she likes to take a stroll, go shopping, and watch entertainment shows.

Giselle graduated from the University of Utah in the fall of 2020 with a B.S. in Chemistry. She joined the Sheldon group in the fall of 2021.

Jon graduated from the William Paterson University in 2020 with a B.S. in Chemistry, and M.S in Materials Chemistry in 2022. He joined the Sheldon group in the fall of 2022. He is from New Jersey and his interests are programming and watching hockey!

Josue was born and raised in southern California where he received a Bachelors of Science in chemistry with a minor in physics at the University of La Verne. He is currently doing research on perovskite nanocrystals after he joined the Sheldon group in the fall of 2022. On the free time he enjoys coding, cooking, hiking, playing piano, and listening to Jazz music.
