Getting to UCI

By plane

UC Irvine is located in Orange County, California, about 4 miles from John Wayne Airport (SNA). SNA also connects to Canada and Mexico. A taxi from SNA to UCI $25.

The conference is located about 50 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

International airfares to SNA and LAX are often similar.

A shuttle ride from LAX can, depending on the traffic, take up to more than 2 hours (including the waiting time at the terminal).

By car

If you have to come by car, you can find driving directions and freeway maps at the UCI campus maps page. Parking on campus costs $18 per day.

The UCI Physics department visitor webpage has additional information, maps, and photos to help you find your way.
