TA Resources

PGC works with our Faculty and TAs to create the best learning environment. PGC has been running TA workload surveys to gage the amount and type of work that TAs are asked to perform, in the hopes of quantifying areas where TAs are well supported and other areas where work assigned is inefficient. We have compiled trends and statistics which are then brought to the department as part of an ongoing conversation on how to best run our TA program. For more information email Jack Lubin at jlubin@uci.edu.

Secondly, PGC can serve as an intermediary for conflict resolution between Faculty and TAs. If you are experiencing a situation where you are uncomfortable with what Faculty is asking of you and/or wish to discuss a matter confidentially, PGC is there to support you. Reach out to Jack or any officer. We will proceed however you want us to. In the past we have sat in on meetings between Faculty and TA as a third party intermediary, we have brought attention to department heads, and we can assist with formal complaints to the TA Union.
