Dr. Daniel Dranow is currently a postdoctoral research fellow the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology working in the lab of Professor Thomas Schilling. His research on the roles of cell polarity and cilia in cartilage patterning in the craniofacial skeleton may shed light on how chondrocyte cell polarity contributes to normal development as well as skeletal abnormalities when perturbed. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from UC Davis. Danny was awarded the NIH National Research Service Award (NRSA) F32 in 2017 and was on the recent NRSA workshop panel for the 2018 Grant Writing series.
