Welcome

SoCal BioEYEs is an outreach venture between UCI and local middle schools. Zebrafish are commonly used laboratory animals and we bring these animals into the classroom. Students are tasked with setting up pairs of fish, collecting embryos and recording their observations. We show how to use the fundamentals of the scientific process as well as teaching anatomy and genetics. Most of all we aim to provide the students with a fun and interactive experience to inspire an interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)

Congratulations to Tori, Olga and Kathleen for gaining the recognition you deserve for supporting SoCal BioEYEs – check it out here
