One-day summit to inspire and instruct community college students and high school seniors on how to become the STEM entrepreneurs and innovators of the 21st Century.

What is STEM?
STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Do I have to plan to major in a STEM field to participate in the 2016 STEM Entrepreneur Accelerator Summit?
No. You do not have to plan to pursue a major related to STEM in college to participate in the 2016 STEM Entrepreneur Accelerator Summit. However, you should have some interest in technology or the STEM field.

How long until I hear of my acceptance in the summit after application completion?
Review and acceptance of applications is approximately a 2-week process. Students will be notified no later than May 6th.
If I am selected, when do I need to make a decision on my plans to participate in the summit?
Upon acceptance, students have one week to confirm their attendance.
How much does it cost to participate in this summit?
Training is valued at $1,500 per attendee, applicants selected for the STEM Entrepreneur Accelerator Summit will have a Base 11 scholarship to participate in the summit for FREE.

What activities should I expect?
- 4-hour workshop on learning how to deal with failure, increasing one’s productivity into “beastmode” and developing a CEO mindset by Top Entrepreneur, Darren Hardy.
- Panel of top CEOs on entrepreneurship & innovation
- Success stories from featured panelist to inspire future entrepreneurs
- Networking opportunities with industry, academic experts and other students
How long is the summit?
The summit will run from 8am to 5pm.
Is food available?
Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Will transportation be provided?
No. Transportation is not provided.
How much is parking?
Parking is free. There is ample parking for summit attendees.

Will this summit increase my chances to be accepted to UCI?
The STEM Entrepreneur Accelerator Summit, like all programs at UCI, is separate from the admissions process. All admissions are handled by the Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools. For more information, please visit www.uci.edu.
