Current Ambassadors

Ariel Chan

I am a second year sociology major! Being an Anteater Ambassador means interacting with people of different backgrounds and social status and upholding a positive reputation of our student body to them. My hobbies are going the beach (seven days a week at my peak!) cooking food/exploring new recipes, and looking at city lights. I especially love going roof-topping when I visit new cities! I will also be an intern with Campus Organization and Volunteer Program and the Global Connect Team. In the future I hope to work in the marketing field on a job that  gives me a lot of freedom to explore creatively!

Audrey Fung

Hi my name is Audrey Fung! I am a second year Biological Sciences major pursuing a career in the medical field. As an Ambassador, I have had the opportunity to learn about new campus organizations and strengthen my networking skills while promoting UCI. The volunteer work I have performed through this club has broadened my understanding of the positive impact UCI has on its community and its students. I am also involved in the Japanese culture club, Tomo No Kai, on campus. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, spending time in the outdoors, and being at home with family.

Emily Ha

My name is Emily. I am a second year Business Economics Major at UCI. I joined Anteater Ambassadors Network to join a group of students at UCI that are passionate about service, academics, and leadership. AAN has helped me engage with various faculty members, community leaders, and students which has really aided me in my communication and networking skills. In my free time, I like to read, watch TV, journal, and play the piano/guitar. I am currently serving as a Mesa Court A.C.E. Programmer and hold a board position for the UCI Prison Education Project. My other involvements include Dean’s Ambassadors Council, Circle K, and H.O.P.E. After earning my B.A. in Business Economics, I would like to serve in the Peace Corp for the Economic Development Sector. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in government to help undeserved communities maximize their utility.

Grace D. Huizar

My name is Grace and I am a proud member of AAN! I am a second year Biological Sciences Major and Political Science Minor. This year I am interning at the UCI Division of Career and Pathways Center as a Peer Consultant. This summer I had the amazing opportunity to shadow a Pediatrician, where I further learned more about my dream profession.
My true goal in life is to give my hand to others. I love to reach out to people and to my community. Showing support to my peers and spreading motivation to everyone I meet is an uplifting feeling. And as I am lending my hand, I am also opening myself up to learning opportunities! For instance, through volunteering and service, I am also bettering my communicative and leadership skills. As an Anteater Ambassador, I am eager to give back to my UCI community in any way possible. Being an Anteater Ambassador means always being ready to serve our community. We are representing our UCI community in the best way, through service and positivity.

Katrin Martinez

Hi everyone! My name is Katrin Martinez and I am a third year Business Information Management major and Statistics minor. I aspire to work in both the technology and business field. I joined AAN my second year, and so far, I have had many wonderful opportunities. Being an Anteater Ambassador means that I am able give back to the school by volunteering at numerous events on campus. There are also various networking opportunities which have helped me in my professional development. I get to share these experiences with the other Anteater Ambassadors and am grateful for everything I have been able to do as a member of this organization. Besides AAN, I am also a member of WICS (Women in Information and Computer Sciences) and I play intramural volleyball. Some of my other interests include dancing, as I dance jazz, lyrical, and contemporary, and snowboarding. In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, and going on food adventures. I am looking forward to this upcoming year!

Megan Milne

I am currently a second year Business Administration major hoping to minor in political science and eventually go into law. I love being an Anteater Ambassador because the organization focuses on helping others and professional development which are very important aspects to becoming a successful and well rounded individual. Not only does the network achieve its set goals for the organization, but it also has great people working within it too. Outside of this organization I am involved in the Transportation Commission in ASUCI and work at Kohl’s as well, while over the summers I work at a local law firm. In my free time, I enjoy embarking on new adventures, doing anything active with friends, and going to Disneyland!!

Annie Truong

Alex Wearn

I am a third year Neurobiology major and I am starting my second year with AAN. I am also part of the nationally competitive UCI rowing team and a member of an off campus volunteer organization called TIP. Being part of AAN has been a unique opportunity to be a part of UCI’s broader community. Most students stay involved with student affairs and clubs, but AAN connects us to faculty, administration, and alumni. Being an Anteater Ambassador means volunteering your time to help strengthen the bridge between the students of UCI and the UCI community. It gives us practical skills focused on professional development and lets us give back to our school by supporting everyone that works to create such a highly rated learning environment.

Jenny Cheung

Hi! I’m Jenny, and I am a third-year business administration major with a double emphasis in Marketing and Organization & Management. My career goal is to enter into the beauty industry doing marketing or sales. I have a passion for mentoring first-generation college students and assisting aspiring young professionals in college. As a first-generation college student myself, education has been an indispensable part of my life because the knowledge that I’ve gained during my time at UCI has shaped me into the person that I am today. I strive to empower others who have stemmed from similar upbringings as me and hope to give back to my community.

My hobbies include travelling, tennis, photography and playing pool. I love being outdoors with nature and enjoying scenic views. Fun fact, I went to Prague for the first time during the Spring Break of my second year of college for a week-long international business program! I had the opportunity to visit various companies as well as tour the historic landmarks in the Czech Republic, such as the Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and Wenceslas Square.

Coming to UCI has changed my life dramatically. The people who I’ve met and the organizations that I’ve immersed myself in has allowed me to further give back to my community while allowing me to develop myself both personally and professionally. I was a Mentor in the AntLeader Mentorship Program (AMP), a Marketing Intern for ASUCI’s Vendor Fair Commission and the Internal Relations Intern for Marketing Association. As an Active Partner in the business leadership fraternity, Lambda Phi Nu, I have further developed my sense of professionalism and been given the opportunity to help the next generation of Merage leaders. I’m excited to volunteer for AAN events this year and getting to know everyone

Jocelyn Hsieh

Hey there! My name is a Jocelyn and I am a second year student studying Psychology and Social Behavior. I hope to become a therapist in the future to work with kids who have difficulties performing daily activities and tasks. In my free time, I like to travel, try out new restaurants with my friends and family, listen to music, and take photos.
I first joined AAN because I wanted to give back to UCI and volunteer at events going on around campus. This organization has provided me with so many opportunities to do so and to gain great networking skills as well. I am so grateful for what AAN has taught me so far about professionalism, networking, and community and looking forward to what the upcoming years have to offer!
