WiCyS Vice President, Olivia Figueira, spoke at a meeting for the group Pathways to Computing for Women of Color (PCWOC) at UCI about her journey in computer science and advice for students interested in computer science. PCWOC is a program made up of Women of Color (primarily Black, Latina, and Native-Indigenous women) who are aiming to earn a degree in computer science. The program is comprised of current UCI students, community college students looking to transfer to a 4-year institution, and high school dual enrollment students.
