The latest version of WordPress was released on May 24, 2022. WordPress 6.0 “Arturo” is a big feature release. Feature updates are usually done manually.

CampusPress Hosted Sites
CampusPress usually waits to update their networks to new WordPress feature updates until they can do extensive testing to make sure it will work well with all of their themes and plugins. So, if your site is hosted on sites.uci.edu, faculty.sites.uci.edu, or you have your own hosting with CampusPress, this change will likely come later.
