Final exams can be viewed in my office on Thursday 12-2 and 3-4 PM. Additional viewing times will be available after I return from my trip. I will post here when I have times.
Final Exam Reminders
Just some quick reminders before the final tomorrow morning.
- You should bring something to write with, your ID, a scientific non-graphing calculator, and your model kit (if you want to use it).
- Arrive at least 5 minutes early to get situated. 10 minutes early will be better.
- We will post seating charts in various places. You must sit in your assigned seat or your exam grade will be a zero. (Left-handers, we will move you to a left-handed seat if you want one.)
- Remember to eat at least a little something in the morning. Your brain will function SO much better with food!
- Get some rest tonight. Shoot for at least 3 hours of sleep. You will do better by sleeping for at least 3 hours than you will if you try to pull an all-nighter. (This is not my opinion. It’s neuroscience!)
- You can do this! I believe in you!
Extra Practice Problem (Bring to class!), Office Hours, & EC Opportunities
PRACTICE PROBLEMS: A sheet of extra review problems is available on the Discussion Handouts & Extras page. Bring this to class on Monday.
OFFICE HOURS: I will be available in my office on Monday after class until about 2 PM. I will also be available most of Tuesday for last minute help. I’ll post exact hours when I am sure of them.
EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES: Looking for some final extra credit opportunities? You can fill out the regular course evaluations listed on EEE. THESE COURSE EVALUATIONS CLOSE TONIGHT AT 11:45 PM! Additionally, I will be posting a special survey on Monday. It will be available until 11:45 PM on Tuesday night.

BRING ACTIVITIES HANDOUTS TO CLASS!
Our progress in class has been slowed lately because many students are not bringing the handouts with them to class. For the remaining class meetings, I will not be slowing down to allow time for those who need to copy down the problems. You need to bring the handouts with you in some form (printed, digital, whatever works for you). The remaining handouts are posted now.
Fri Class Activities & Quiz Reminder
I just posted the class activities for tomorrow on the Lecture Materials page.
Also, don’t forget that you can use your model kit on the quiz tomorrow!
Midterm Reminder
A few last reminders before our midterm.
- We’re starting promptly at 9:00. Plan to arrive about 10 minutes early to find your seat.
- Speaking of seats, copies of the seating chart will be posted at various places in the room. Sitting in a seat other than the one assigned to you (unless you have obtained specific permission) will be treated as cheating.
- If you have requested a left-handed seat, we will assign you to one before the exam starts. It will not be listed on the seating chart.
- You may have only something to write with and a your model kit during the exam. No other material are allowed.
- We will be checking IDs. Bring your school ID or other photo ID to the exam.
- We will begin class after the exam at 10:05. If you finish your exam early you may turn it in and leave until class begins.
Remember to get some sleep tonight (at least three hours!) and eat breakfast in the morning. These will help you brain work at its best during the exam.
Need extra study problems?
Looking for some extra problems to add to your midterm studying plan? A list of book problems is on the Discussion Handouts & Extras page. The problem numbers are from the 4th edition.
