UROP Fall Call for Proposals
The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) has announced their Fall Call for Proposals. UCI undergraduates from all disciplines who are conducting research projects or creative activities under the guidance of UCI faculty are encouraged to apply. Students may request to be considered for the UROP Research Abroad Fellowship in support of projects conducted abroad under the guidance of UCI faculty, or projects resulting directly from an undergraduate’s experience abroad.
Complete proposals must be submitted online at the UROP Web site by Monday, November 7, 2016.
Special Call for Proposals
Women’s Empowerment Initiative
Emphasizes the importance of the discovery process to advance our knowledge and efforts to empower women, and provide mentorship and leadership opportunities through collaborative projects.
Computer Gaming
Funded in part by the UCI eSports initiative, these studies will help us see the world differently through immersive visualization and virtual tours, allow us to interact and socialize with global communities and understand and create technology and applications that enrich and help us learn more about each other and improve our quality of life.
Living Peace
Encourages people to find their purpose, discover their own gifts, and share them with the world to improve our understanding of the relationship between personal transformation and social change and strengthen the bond between empathy and personal resilience.
UCI undergraduates from all disciplines who are conducting research projects or creative activities under the guidance of UCI faculty are encouraged to apply. Proposed projects must be submitted online and in response to the regular Fall UROP Call for Proposals. Learn more here.
Multidisciplinary Design Program
UCI undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines can apply to join five-member design teams, co-mentored by at least two faculty mentors from different schools. Participants will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of innovative and creativedesign projects related to the areas of energy, the environment, healthcare, and culture.
