DEADLINE EXTENDED – Represent the CHP at the Western Regional Honors Council Conference on April 14-15 in Orange, California! This two-day conference is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff of honors programs across the western U.S. to come together to network, share research and ideas, and discuss current issues relevant to honors programs and honors education. The CHP may be able to provide registration funding for a limited number of students who are interested in attending or presenting at the conference. The deadline to complete the WRHC RSVP form has been extended to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, January 28.

Donald A. Strauss Foundation: 1/22/18 at NOON
Sophomore and junior undergraduates may apply to the Strauss foundation and receive $15,000 to fund their service project. Must demonstrate an interest in public service, outstanding leadership potential, and wish to make a difference in their local, regional, or national communities. Open to DACA recipients and international students.
Apply to be a UCI Tour Guide
Applications for Campus Reps (UCI’s tour guides) are due on Friday, January 19 at 5:00 p.m. The role of the Campus Representative, or “Campus Rep,” is multifaceted, with many opportunities for students to serve their campus while developing personal skills and augmenting their academic growth. Students selected for the program are those who enjoy their college experience and wish to share it with future anteaters and families. Learn more and access the application here.

According to a recent campus advisory, in addition to getting vaccinated, the following habits will help reduce the spread of flu and other illness:
- Stay home when you are sick to prevent spreading the flu.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
- If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve, not your hands.
- Wash your hands, use hand sanitizers, and disinfect work surfaces with sanitizing wipes.
