A survey completed by The Palette Fund and True Colors Fund, highlighted that many LGBT young people are at risk of homelessness or are unstably housed. The reason? Lack of family acceptance.

“Nearly seven in ten (68%) respondents indicated that family rejection was a major factor contributing to LGBT youth homelessness, making it the most cited factor.”

Many transgender youth and young adults report that the holidays are especially difficult when they do not have family that is supportive to go home to. When young people find a community where they can be loved and supported, they thrive.

The Gender Diversity program is proud to be part of the Trans*itions Health and Wellness committee. Together we plan events like Friendsgiving. A place where people can share a meal,

and discover that there are more people that will love and accept them than they ever knew.

Come have a meal with us today from 3:00pm to 6:00pm
