When using “Hello my name is…” nametags (or any other nametag for that matter), it’s extremely encouraged to put your pronouns below your name. This is an easy way to make other folx who have pronouns that are different from yours feel respected and maybe feel comfortable enough to share their own pronouns. This practice is particularly important for cis people to follow as a small, but powerful form of allyship and solidarity that makes it easier for trans and nonbinary folx be more visible in their gender identities!

So next time you are at a conference or participating in an icebreaker, please introduce yourself using your pronouns!
